How strap is made

Plastic granules are stored in silos, and are automatically fed into the various strap extrusion lines.

In each extruder colouring is mixed with the granules, and hot plastic is extruded through a precision die-slit and immediately cooled.

The processes of stretching follows to create strength in the strap. 

Now while the strap is still smooth, Sekisui can print on the strapping.  This high quality gravure process gives clear print and can be used for text, logos, EC health mark or security prints.

This is immediately followed by embossing, and ultimately leads to winding onto coils.

Packing and palletisation follow to complete the process.
