Machine Use
Strapping machines need good quality strap to work well: Machine use has always been the major application for Sekisui strap with good and ongoing relationships with the major machine manufacturers to ensure smooth running and compatibility over the widest range of strapping machines. The machine strap range starts at 5 mm going through to 16 mm straps as standard. A wide range of colours are possible and other sizes are available on application too.
Hand tool use
Use by hand tools remains a very popular and lower cost method of applying strap. As we excel at making machine strap we can also make high quality hand straps, including those wound on Plastic Reels for the British Isles. Sekisui hand straps are well suited for friction weld tools, but can also be used with plastic buckles, metal buckles or metal seals.
Gravure printed strap
Sekisui printed strap is world famous. Using a specialist gravure method, strap is printed during production. Soon after the strap comes out of the extruder, while it is still warm and smooth it's printed using a gravure roller, giving high quality, high depth of colour printing on straps of 9 mm or wider. Only then is it embossed. Standard ink colours are light blue, dark blue, forest green, red and black. Special ink colours may be available on request. Please note, we only offer printed Polypropylene strapping.
